I'll dominate 'legitimate combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be streamed live on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" the American as the pair met personally to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former two time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive disparity - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I will break his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I will really want to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

Despite such comments, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally famous for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather criticized ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK rival Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

However, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, frequently receiving massive paydays.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Disparity

As the two fighters met for the traditional face-off, with their size difference clearly visible, it emphasized just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the bout is really going ahead.
